Market onboarding reduced from approximately two to four weeks.
Supported through standardized delivery workflows with independent market approvals.
All active repositories covered by the Operational Intelligence platform by the end of the engagement, following an initial pilot of 83 repositories.
A global consumer-products enterprise needed to scale software delivery across more than 20 international markets while giving each market control over its releases.
Altimetrik built a standardized AWS delivery platform that automates market setup, preserves release traceability, and gives engineering teams shared operational visibility. Reported market onboarding fell from approximately two to four weeks to less than four hours, establishing a repeatable delivery approach across global operations.
The client’s engineering teams needed a consistent delivery approach that could accommodate different market requirements. Software was rebuilt for different environments, creating the risk that the artifact validated during testing would differ from the version deployed in production.
Provisioning each new market required repeated manual work. Globally coupled approvals also created dependencies between teams, potentially delaying releases that were otherwise ready to ship.
The organization needed traceability across source changes, builds, approvals, and deployments, alongside independent control over each market’s release timing.
Delivery speed depended on removing repetitive work without weakening release controls. Across more than 20 markets, inconsistent provisioning and environment-specific builds made releases harder to reproduce and audit. A shared delivery foundation needed to support both global consistency and local accountability.
Altimetrik designed and implemented a standardized delivery platform on AWS. AWS CodePipeline orchestrates release workflows, AWS CodeBuild executes build and deployment actions, and Amazon S3 and Amazon Elastic Container Registry store immutable packages and container images. The same tested artifact is promoted across environments, preserving consistency through production.
Reusable AWS Cloud Development Kit constructs and AWS CloudFormation templates automate provisioning of pipelines, access roles, repositories, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service namespaces, and supporting resources. Governed source integration through AWS CodeStar Connections, market-scoped approvals, and Argo CD support traceable deployments while preserving local release authority.
Altimetrik also delivered a production Operational Intelligence layer. Amazon EventBridge and Amazon Data Firehose collect delivery events, an Amazon S3 Iceberg layer retains raw history, and Kubernetes jobs calculate delivery metrics. Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL stores curated data, while Backstage presents DORA metrics, failure classifications, deployment-risk indicators, and incident views.
The architecture uses Amazon EKS for continuously running services and scheduled jobs, with AWS Lambda handling Firehose transformation. Graviton-based ARM64 compute, Aurora Serverless v2, Firehose buffering, and a shared EKS cluster help control infrastructure costs.
Reusable infrastructure and pipeline templates reduced reported market onboarding from approximately two to four weeks to less than four hours.
The platform supports governed software delivery across more than 20 markets. Independent market approvals preserve local release timing, while immutable artifact promotion provides an auditable path from source change to production.
The production Operational Intelligence platform expanded from a pilot of 83 repositories to cover approximately 2,600 repositories, representing all active repositories, by the end of the engagement. Shared delivery, failure, deployment-risk, and incident views replace manual correlation across tools.
A pre-implementation model compared approximately USD 5,320 per month in manual engineering effort with approximately USD 327.30 per month in AWS platform infrastructure, indicating a modeled cost-efficiency ratio of approximately 16x.
This comparison excludes implementation and ongoing operational labor. It represents a targeted infrastructure-to-manual-effort comparison, rather than realized savings or a full ROI calculation.
Altimetrik combined AWS platform engineering, reusable infrastructure automation, and operational intelligence to address delivery consistency, governance, and visibility together. The resulting platform gives engineering teams a repeatable delivery approach while allowing individual markets to retain control over their releases.
