Position Details

  • Senior Engineer - Quality Engineering in the Software Development domain with 3-7 years of experience.
  • Requires B.Tech in Computer Science, M.Tech in Software Engineering or Quality Assurance, and proficiency in Python for automation.
  • Expertise in API automation using tools like Rest Assured, SDET experience, and API Testing Certification.
  • Responsibilities include leading quality engineering efforts, designing automated API testing solutions, collaborating with teams for test planning, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Must ensure adherence to quality standards, drive innovation in quality engineering practices, and contribute to software development lifecycle enhancement.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the quality engineering efforts by designing and implementing automated API testing solutions using Python, Rest Assured, and API automation tools.
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks for API testing to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and create detailed test plans for API testing.
  • Conduct debugging and troubleshooting of complex issues related to API integrations and automated reasoning.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in API testing and quality engineering processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior quality engineers to enhance team performance and capabilities.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in code reviews, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive quality excellence.
  • Drive innovation in quality engineering practices and contribute to the overall improvement of software development lifecycle.

Ideal Candidate Info

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering
  • Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Software Engineering or Quality Assurance
  • 3-7 years of experience in the field of Software Development and Quality Assurance
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming for automation and testing purposes
  • Expertise in API automation and testing using tools like Rest Assured
  • Experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a focus on creating robust and scalable test automation frameworks
  • Possess API Testing Certification and Certified Software Development Engineer in Test (CSDT) qualification
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality assurance and testing processes
